Tangalooma Island Resort latest day trip offering includes a guided snorkel tour through the magical Tangalooma Shipwrecks of Moreton Island. The crystal clear waters that surround the wrecks are filled with over 200 species of fish and 130 species of coral, not to mention 3 different species of marine sea turtle, dolphins and even our resident Wobbegong sharks and stingrays. This guided tour begins at the Tangalooma beach front, with a short boat ride to the wrecks, with all snorkel gear provided.

SNORKEL THE WRECKS DAY CRUISE

Jump in and discover the large variety of different species of reef fish, coral formations and marine life on the guided snorkel tour through the Tangalooma Shipwrecks. This tour includes a guide and all snorkel equipment (wetsuits, fins/flippers, mask, snorkel, life jacket, and pool noodle).

After a safety briefing island guests are invited to wade into the ocean beside the resort jetty to handfeed the wild dolphins at sunset. This is a magical and unforgettable experience before returning to the mainland. *Launch departs Tangalooma Resort after the last dolphin feeding activity.

SUNSET COCKTAIL: Can be used any time when Wheelhouse Deck or B&B’s Bar are open. Guest can enjoy a cocktail or mocktail after they finish all the tours while relax at the resort, best paired with a sunset. (Upgrade Sunset Cocktail Package)

  • In the unlikely event that a tour is cancelled due to severe weather conditions, another tour will be offered (subject to availability).  Tour have limited numbers and are subject to availability.
  • Optional extras can be pre-booked through us and we would advise this during busy seasons
  • Day Cruise guests catch the 4pm Return Ferry from Tangalooma, arriving into Brisbane at approximately 5.15pm
  • Return times vary in season due to dolphin feeding at sunset
  • Sunset Cocktail Package: Sunset Cocktail/Mocktail beverage voucher valid at Wheelhouse Deck or B&B’s Bar only. Cannot be exchanged for cash. Voucher valid for one Cocktail from the daily Cocktail list for 18+ guests. Voucher valid for one Mocktail, or soft drink or water for guests under 18 years. Not transferrable.
  • Dolphin feeding is dependant on tides, weather conditions and dolphin/whale appearance (these are wild animals however the resort experiences a 98% attendance rate)
  • Dolphin feeding: All Children must be supervised by an Adult for this tour. Adults must participate in Dolphin Feeding with any children

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Hotel Pick up - Please wait outside hotel or designated pick-up point at least 5 minutes prior to pick-up time
  • Pick-up times may vary by 10 minutes depending on traffic
  • Changing road conditions may result in alternate pick up points
  • Fares - Shown in Australian dollars effective 1/4/2024 inclusive of GST.
  • Child Fares - These apply to children 3 to 14 years inclusive (Brisbane’s Best, Brisbane City sights morning tour, Brisbane afternoon at Lone Pine & Mt Coot-tha lookout and Theme Parks are 3 to 13 years). Infants aged under 3 are free, unless otherwise stated (Fraser Island trip full child fare).
  • Cancellation Fees - Any JPT day tour cancelled within 24 hours of departure will incur a 100% fee with the exception of Tangalooma Island Tours where the deadline for cancellations is 48 hours or forfeit 100%. 50% cancellation fee applies for overnight tours cancelled within 3 days of departure.
  • Students and Backpackers - $5 off Full Day Tours except Theme Parks and Tangalooma Island Tours.
  • Concession Fares - $5 off Full Day Tours valid for Pension, Seniors Card Holders and Backpackers.
  • Credit Card Surcharges - 2%-4% card fee applicable.
  • We reserve the right to substitute coaches and operators where necessary.
  • Itineraries - Subject to change without notice. Limited tours operate Easter long weekend, Anzac Day and Christmas Day. JPT Tour Group reserves the right to cancel tours, amend fares, itineraries and days of operation at short notice.
